Grave inscription in Steventon Parish Church; Thy will be done / In memory / of / Elizabeth / wife of / John Buckle / died 4th August 1878 /
aged 66 years/ in the midst of life / we are in death.

The IGI records an Elizabeth Owen baptised 1 Dec 1811 at West Hanney to Lot Owen and Joanna. This ties up with census information. The IGI gives the marriage of the parents in 1805 and three other children. There are no more Owen entries in West Hanney. This must almost certainly be the right one. However, her marriage certificate states that her father was Thomas Owen.
Per Hugh Kearsey there is no Thomas or Lot Owen of the right are in North Berkshire in 1841 nor is there a marriage of a Thomas Owen at the right time in North Berkshire

Elizabeth married John BUCKEL on 24 Apr 1841 in Steventon, Berkshire. (John BUCKEL was born in 1816 in Steventon, Berkshire, christened on 3 Mar 1816 in Steventon, Berkshire, died on 29 Aug 1887 in Steventon, Berkshire ⁵ and was buried on 1 Sep 1887 in Steventon, Berkshire.)
